Process control and monitoring systems often utilise a large number of standard process signals; Voltage levels, current loops, temperature and pulsed signals to name but a few. When designing a system from scratch it may be possible to exactly match each type of sensor to a controller, but even then it is not always cost effective to do so.
With Brodersen PX signal conditioners, signals can be converted from one standard to another and even an analogue signal can be effectively fed into a digital input.
The PX relay is a high quality product which has been designed and tested to the latest requirements for EMC immunity/emission and the low voltage directive (CE marked).
The PX relay also provides a galvanic isolation of 3.75kV. The PX relay is of a new design, supplied in a standardised industrial housing, 22.5mm wide, for mounting on 35mm symmetrical DIN-rail with touch-proof, combi notch-screw terminals.
A snap-on cover on the front of the relay conceals the adjustment potentiometers. |

Signal converters are the ideal interface solution for Class I, Div. 2 and Intrinsic Safety applications - more compact and easier to wire, install, and configure than other methods.
These DIN-rail mounted PLC and I/O system signal conditioners isolate, amplify, filter signals from harsh industrial interferences enhancing the overall reliability of the system. |

The iT Transmitter is a signal conditioning module that interfaces with a traditional IEPE accelerometer to provide a 4-20 mA output signal and a buffered dynamic signal. This allows the user to interface an accelerometer with a PLC/DCS system for condition trending, while still providing a dynamic output for more extensive vibration analysis through the BNC connector on the front of the module. The iT Transmitter is ordered with custom settings to meet user-specific requirements.
With unique high- and low-pass filters - and a host of options for customizing the transmitter to your specific needs. By utilizing your existing sensor infrastructure, Wilcoxon's Total Lower Cost (TLC) Approach reduces the expense of online monitoring.

In the process control and automation field, often the need arises of interfacing low level signals generated by thermocouple, Pt-100, load cell, current and voltage transducers, LVDT etc.. to the process controllers, PLC, DCS etc.. Also, one signal needs to be fed to the multiple control device. To take care of common ground loop of many sensors to single system and also avoid loading effect, isolation of these signal from one another is must. The models featured here provides optical and/or galvanic isolation between input and output, maintaining the desired level of accuracy and linearity.
APPLICATIONS
For conversion and isolation of low level dc signals to (4-20)mA signal for interfacing to PLC, SCADA, DCS etc..

Sensor signal amplifier MTI04CS/ MTI04CQ
With the MTI04CS/CQ, MAZeT now presents the second-generation multi-channel transimpedance amplifier. The MTI04CS/CQ now offers the ability to adapt the compensation of the transimpedance amplifier) to the input capacitance of the sensors, such as photodiodes. This is done digitally in two stages, 5 and 80pF.
Programming of the transimpedance gain is carried out via three input pins to any of eight levels; and takes effect for all channels simultaneously.
Additional technical characteristics
- Switchable frequency response compensation for input photodiodes (< 5pF and < 80pF)
- Good synchronization of the amplification and the temperature coefficients by the transfer function
- Settable power-save mode
- Supply voltage from 2.7 to 5.5V
- Extended temperature range from -40 to +125°C
IC Types
* MTI04CD – ‘naked’ chip (die)
* MTI04CS – 16-pin SOP16 package
* MTI04CQ – 16-pin QSOP16 package |

The AD725 is a very low cost general purpose RGB to NTSC/ PAL encoder that converts red, green and blue color component signals into their corresponding luminance (baseband amplitude) and chrominance (subcarrier amplitude and phase) signals in accordance with either NTSC or PAL standards. These two outputs are also combined on-chip to provide a composite video output. All three outputs are available separately at voltages of twice the standard signal levels as required for driving 75 ohm, reverse-terminated cables.
