Cogelme Eddy Current Separators excellent recovers non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper, brass, etc.) from recyclable material.
Are applied in commercial, recycling or industrial production, wherever non-ferrous metals have to be extracted from:
Plastic, Rubber, Glass, Municipal waste, RDF, Construction waste, Wood chips, Stones, Foundry sand, etc.
Performance way:
a rapidly rotating system of permanent magnets in the head drum generates high-frequency changing magnetic fields. Where non ferrous metals jump out, while the inert materials freely fall down to another
container. All iron is kept by the magnetic drum and downloaded in the proper container under the Eddy Current Separator.
These cost effective and proved Separators are designed according the ultimate physics and enginering science to create the best separation opportunity.
Do you want to be more confident? Our experts will guide you through the technology capabilities for your case, show you how you can apply this equipment and what results you can achieve to ensure you can increase your productivity and profitability.

The Separator of Non-Iron Metals by Eddy Currents (R-SPM) is able to separate the Non-Iron metals from the rest of the materials due to its studied magnetic collection called the “Inductor Drum”, which rotates at high speed. When a Non-Iron Metal crosses the induced magnetic field, it undergoes an repulsion effect and jumps a certain distance ahead of the Foucault drum and away from the rest of the materials.

Polytech magnetic separators have been designed to remove ferrous and non-ferrous solid contaminants from coolants and oils. Magnetic separators can substantially reduce filter cartridge consumption and element changes when used in grinding, honing and lapping operations where filter cartridges are used. They can reduce the concentration of small fines left in the coolant by chip conveyors in broaching, milling and drilling operations that can settle in tanks and reduce tool life.
The magnetic drum is made up of alternating permanent magnets and steel discs. The magnetic field is extended by the magnetized steel discs to maximize effectiveness without resorting to more costly high strength or rare earth magnets. A comb type scraper and adjustable discharge chute optimizes sludge removal.

Magnetic grids are extremely efficient at removing fine iron contamination from dry free flowing powders and granulates
Contamination such as rust, stainless steel scrapings and wear from machinery are often too small to be detected by a metal detector, but is easily removed by these highly efficient grids.
The product flows throught the grid. Any contamination is immediately attracted to the grid's powerful magnetic rods. The contamination is pushed to undersides of the rods, where it is securely held, out of the way of the wash-off effects of continuous product flow.
The grids require no power and no maintenance (except for cleaning) and are quick and easy to install. Once the grid is in position you know it's working.
Grids are available in a vast range of standard sizes and 3 magnet strengths (standard for coarse ferrous contamination, high and super-high for micron sized and para-magnetic contamination).
We also supply custom designed and engineered grids to suit your specific requirements.
All product contact parts are manufactured using food quality 316 grade stainless steel and fully sealed.
Supplied with test certificates. Magnetic performance is guaranteed.
ATEX type approval – we can supply ATEX certified products direct from our factory cutting turnaround and costs.

Housed easy clean grid magnets are ideal for removal of fine iron and para-magnetic contamination from a range of dry free flowing products such as sugar, grain, flour, granulates and powders.
Housings are available for both square chutes and round pipelines and are flanged to suit each customers requirement for ease of installation.
Cleaning of this system is exactly the same as for the easy clean grid unit.
For increased contamination removal efficiency or for high levels of contamination the double row unit should be used.
All product contact parts are manufactured using 316 grade stainless steel.
ATEX type approval – we can supply ATEX certified products direct from our factory cutting turnaround and costs.

SAFEMAG - Inline magnet for injection moulding machines, extruders, and blow moulding machines
The SAFEMAG inline magnet was developed specifically for applications in the plastics industry. It is designed for inspecting different granulates up to a grain size of 6-8 mm at a temperature of up to 100°C in standing or slow-moving material columns.
Advantages:
The outstanding advantages of this magnet separator are its especially flat (60 mm) and sturdy design and its excellent magnetic power.
With its special design the SAFEMAG does not allow any depositing of plastic granulate (which is important in case of a colour or material change).
By way of adaptor plates the SAFEMAG magnet system can be easily integrated in all kinds of systems.

Bunting HF Series Permanent Drawer Magnets can handle a wide variety of separation tasks. They're built for easy installation in square, rectangular, or round spouting used in gravity conveying systems. We can supply both top and bottom spouting adapters to your specifications to reduce in-house fabrication. HF Drawers have two or more trays arranged so that the magnetic cartridges are staggered to increase contact with the product flow. Material moves in a zig-zag pattern from one cartridge tray to the next for thorough cleaning.
Standard drawer housings are constructed of heavy-duty mild steel. Stainless steel housings are also available. They're required for certain sanitary applications and whenever Rare Earth magnets are used. Stainless steel stands up to most corrosive environments, resists wear, and is the right choice when "clean room" standards must be met. Optional adapters permit easy installation of housings in most round, square, or rectangular spouting.

MAGNETIC FILTERS
Goudsmit magnetic filters are able to remove ferrous particles of only 30 microns in size from fluids and powders transported under pressure. The filters have a wide range of applications like the foodstuffs- pharma-, and ceramic industry, but the principle is always the same. The powderful Neoflux® magnetic bars penetrate deep into the product so that they retain even the smallest ferrous particles. The bars can be removed from the product flow for cleaning by lifting the lid. Various test have confirmed that the powerful GSN 50 magnet can also catch stainless steel scrapings. These particles are so small that they would even escape a metal detector.

LIQUIMAG filter magnets were specifically designed and built to remove even the tiniest magnetic metal particles from many different kinds of liquid and paste products.
|
|
|
The treatment of process liquids usually requires a reliable and highly efficient separation of the smallest ferrous particles. The high gradient permanent magnetic filter HGF is designed to solve exactly this problem; either as a process by itself or as protective device for membrane systems. In the HGF, the ferrous particles are separated at a fine meshed filter matrix in a strong magnetic field. Particles as small as 1 micron may be separated while still producing an output of more than 90 %.

We manufacture candle type magnetic separators that are compact and occupy less space keeping the tank free for maintenance. They are more suitable for cellular installations. With excellent collection efficiency they are perfect for viscous liquids. They run only on one drive and also require less power. They are suitable to handle fine ferrous dirt from large flows of coolant. Most useful in rolling, grinding, wire-drawing etc.
Working:
An endless belt of magnetic candles is dipped in dirty coolant tank such that the dirty coolant enters in the core. Coolant flows slowly over the magnetic candles leaving the ferrous dirt on the candles. The belt is indexed to pull out dirt-laden candles & rotate them at top to remove the dirt. The dirt is then transported to a bin outside the tank.
