The E-volution in the shearing process is defined by the innovative technology of the new generation of Safan shears: the SAFAN M-Shear and the SAFAN B-Shear. In these shears, the control technology has evolved from hydraulic to electronic. The drive of the cutting beam consists of a servo-electronic motor and a hydraulic pump.
This unique hybrid drive makes the shears more environmentally friendly, low-noise and energy efficient. Their programmable cutting beam starting position, a variety of automatic settings, Touch Screen control and other features give these shears unmatched efficiency.
The fully equipped SAFAN M-Shear is available in working lengths from 2 to 8 metres and capacities from 4 mm to 16 mm sheet thickness. The SAFAN B-Shear is a simpler basic version, produced in one standard model only, that features the same superior technology.

Technical description:
- Fixed angle blades positioned at 90° with 14 tons of solid hydraulic power.
- Automatic blade gap adjustment (European Patent),to ensure perfect cuts in a wide variety of materials and thickness (from 1 to 6.5 mm). You eliminate the burr and the manual blade adjustment. This leads to more productivity and less time loss.
- Absolute rigidity is provided by our monoblock Meehanite® steel casting (65kg/mm²) incorporating a heavy duty 3-guide system assures unmatched cutting precision and blade life.
- Reversible blades in K110 / D2 positive cutting direction (cutting from the front edge) or negative cutting (cutting from the rear edge). This gives you the benefit of additionally longer tool life.
- You may select between single step mode or step by step mode (inching function). This allows you to easily copy reference parts or work with special applications.
- Unlimited length trimming is possible with the position of the side guides perfectly aligned with the blades. As you feed the material along the fixture in front of the blade it is guided in line along the rear of the blade.

The fixed angle notching machine AF.226/B has a compact structure, and a shearing head in GS500 fusion with downwards movement. The workbench is fitted with conical slots for housing of the squares. The conical form of the slots has been especially designed to give greater rigidity to the squares to guarantee greater precision. Subject of a Simasv patent, the most important characteristic is the automatic adjustment of the slack between the blades from 1 to 6 mm in thickness. The cut may start from the tip of the blades, and the auto-adjustment system between the upper and the lower blades allows simultaneous cutting of different thicknesses.

New technology for a new shearing philosophy
Standard Gasparini shears are supplied with a control panel including the Delem DAC310 electronic positioner, adjustable cutting length and rake angle. The blade gap is adjustable manually (motorized version available on request) for all machines with a shearing capacity up to 8mm; the motorized version becomes standard on bigger capacity shears (10 mm. and above). In our shears we have replaced the blade carrier arm with a robust blade carrier beam, which lies perfectly in axis with the cylinders. This solution ensures an excellent quality and precise cut guaranteeing a longer life for the cylinders. The back gauge is mounted directly on the machine structure thus eliminating stress and vibrations during shearing operations. Gasparini shears are manufactured according to C.E. standars.
The standard Gasparini shears come with a set of accessories that improve both productivity and the quality of processed products. They are essential for an increase of the machine flexibility i.e. to employ it in the most efficient way for different type of materials, thicknesses and dimensions thus making the maximum use of it.

The hydraulic shears OMAG mod. GHB are built from 3 to 8 meters of length with a cutting capacity from 6 to 30 millimetres. The cylinders are at double acting and they are made in steel and lapped; shafts are in steel and ground. The blade holder runs on a vertical table and it is directly controlled by the two standard cylinders and it is driven by a roller bearing system. The hold down pistons are independent therefore the tightening force adjusts itself automatically in relation to the sheet thickness to be cut. Both the blades, top and bottom, are with 4 cutting edge wires. The adjustment of cutting angle at hydraulic driving is carried out by acting on two levers placed outside the housings. The shears model GHB has in the standard equipment the numerical control CPC123 for one axes that reduces and simplifies the working process.
