M-227 are ultra-high-resolution linear actuators providing linear motion up to 50 mm with sub-micron resolution in a compact package. They consist of a micrometer with non-rotating tip, driven by a closed-loop DC-motor/gearhead combination with motor-shaft-mounted high-resolution encoder. The combination of an extremely low stiction/friction construction and high-resolution encoder allows for a minimum incremental motion of 50 nanometers at speeds up to 1 mm/sec. |

Noliac's Ceramic Multilayer Benders products are based on the company's advanced multilayer technology, harnessing the full potential of the piezoelectric effect at very low operating voltages.
Multilayer piezoelectric benders are single co-fired ceramic components with ceramic layers and internal electrodes configured as to generate a bending mode.
The most common bender geometry is a narrow rectangle (CMBP) with typical performance range up to +/- 1500µm stroke and up to 10N blocking force.
Noliac has also developed a unique ring shape bender (CMBR) with typical performances range up to +/- 150µm and up to 100N blocking force.
Multilayer benders are used in numerous applications within e.g. optics, telecommunication, instrumentation, automotive, valves. |

Linear and bending multilayer piezo actuators (plates and rings, all available for stacking)

Standard products
• Ceramic multilayer actuators (CMA) are co-fired multilayer ceramics typically with a height up to 2−3mm and with up to 100 ceramic layers. Stroke up to 4.8 µm.
• Stacked ceramic multilayer actuators (SCMA) are made of two or more single actuators (CMA) glued together. The purpose of the stacking is to obtain more displacement than can be achieved by a single actuator. Stroke up to 282 µm.
• Ceramic multilayer benders (CMB) are single co-fired ceramic components with ceramic layers and internal electrodes configured as to generate a bending mode. Stroke up to +/- 1,270 µm.

Parallel Pre-stressed Actuator (PPA)
The parallel pre-stressed actuator is a preloaded stack of low voltage piezoelectric ceramics (MLA). The preload (or pres-stress) is obtained from an external spring frame made of stainless steel which protects the MLA against tensile force and provide mechanical interfaces for the user allowing for easier integration. This prestressing frame applies an optimal preloading force to the MLA which ensures a longer lifetime and better performance with dynamic applications than traditional preloaded actuators.
Designed by the CEDRAT Group, this new direct piezo Actuator results contracts carried out for CNES, the French Space Agency. The PPA model is lighter than the compacting Direct Piezo Actuator, which has the same electromechanical properties. Its compact size also makes integration easier in mechanical assembly.
3 series (M, L, XL) of PPAs are available in order to meet the fidderent needs in terms of stroke, force and dimensions. |

DSM's NA-25 and NA-80 actuators are direct-drive piezoelectric actuators integrated into a protective metallic frame. The frame is a monolithic piece of stainless steel or titanium alloy with a flexure-based expansion component.
The flexure minimizes the resistance that the frame might impart to the piezoelectric actuation. The frame also includes standard threaded receiver holes at the top and bottom and incorporates a preload mechanism. The mechanical preload maintains compression on the piezoelectric ceramic under high tensile forces and ensures bidirectional operation. The design thus provides increased resilience to mechanical loads when compared to non-preloaded actuators.
The NA-25 and NA 80 are well-suited to many applications where high force and high frequency response are required. |

| AGI has a full line of linear actuators, base slides, Magnetically coupled slides, thrusters and pneumatic actuators that provide smooth linear motion due to the precision ball bearings riding on hardened ground shafts. The aluminum body and end blocks contain tapped holes and dowel pin holes for precision mounting or fixturing. The AGSL slide series have a magnetically coupled rodless air cylinder that drives the saddle. AGS series have a built in air cylinder that reduces the overall length or footprint. AGT series thruster slide series are powered by an external air cylinder and have an exclusive dual end plates system to keep the shafts from vibrating. Bore sizes are .75 inch, 1.00 inch, 1.25 inch, and 1.50 inch with strokes from 4 inch to 132 inches long. Polycarbonate composite bearings are also available. |

The MT PRECISION is a machine tool grade ball screw linear actuator developed to provide a precise, strong, and durable linear motion solution for high accuracy positioning applications.
MT PRECISION is more efficient, easier to align, and provides superior control of position and velocity compared to less expensive, hydraulic or pneumatic solutions.

Based on the piezoelectric shear mode, Noliac's shear actuators can be made more compact and have higher resonant frequencies than conventional piezo actuators. In addition, their low capacitance results in reduced power requirements for a given generated displacement in dynamic operation.
