Pressure measurement
Honeywell range of pressure transducers are designed to offer a highly accurate and stable piezoresistive pressure capsule, within a low cost OEM package. Whilst they can be used in various applications, the most common applications are environments that require the pressure of refrigerant gas to be monitored.
The pressure transducers measure pressure in the following ranges: -1 to 14 bar and -1 to 34 bar. The transducers produce a 0-10V or 4-20mA output to a controller or monitor.
Applications
Compressor manufacturer pack controllers
Condenser fan controllers

Versatile and easy to use. The IPT-E Current to Pressure transducer provides superior response, accuracy, and flow characteristics, which are critical in precise tensioning applications. Designed to operate pneumatic brakes and clutches, the IPT-E comes ready to use requiring no calibration, and operates on 115/230 vac, normal dry shop air, and accepts a 4-20 ma control input signal.
The unit's small size is the result of its surface mount technology design and single manifold construction. The IP65 enclosure provides protection against dirt and liquids common in factory environments, and allows the IPT-E to be mounted near the brake or clutch for maximum response and controllability. It can be mounted in any orientation with no affect on performance. |

Honeywell's closed loop current sensors consist of a Hall-effect sensor mounted in an air gap of a magnetic core, a coil wound around the core and a current amplifier. The current carrying conductor placed through the aperture of the sensor produces a magnetic field that is proportional to the current. The core concentrates the magnetic field which is measured by the Hall sensor. The Hall sensor is connected to the input of the current amplifier, which drives the coil. The current through the coil produces an opposing field to that provided by the current through the aperture. The magnetic flux in the sensor core is constantly controlled at zero. The amount of current required to balance zero flux is the measure of the primary current flowing through the conductor, multiplied by the number of turns on the coil. This current can be expressed as a voltage by passing it through a resistor. Variety of package styles available.
Best Used For:
Applications requiring high linearity and accuracy, fast response and low temperature drift such as variable speed drives, overcurrent protection, current feedback control systems, robotics and welding power supplies.

Honeywell open loop current sensors consist of a Hall-effect sensor mounted in an air gap of a magnetic core. The current carrying conductor placed through the aperture of the sensor produces a magnetic field that is proportional to the current. Open loop current sensors measure dc and ac currents, and provide electrical isolation between the circuit being measured and the output of the sensor. Variety of package styles available.
Best Used For:
Applications requiring galvanic isolation such as battery circuit management.

PCM+ and PCM Transmitter
Combined with its new high performance transmitter the PCM accurately and easily locates and maps the pipeline for up to 19 miles, providing simultaneous measurement of PCM Current and Voltage Gradient, even in areas where there is contact with other metallic structures, interference, or congestion. This eliminates the need for the pipeline technician to perform direct connection 'current spans' and manual calculations to determine CP currents along the pipeline reducing false indications and minimizing unnecessary excavations. Any current leakage fault in the pipeline coating can be further narrowed down to within 3 feet by use of the A frame.
PCM Receiver, Key features
Precision Locator and PCM in one unit
- Accurate, high over-sampled measurements, 96000 Samples/sec
- 8kHz Fault Find
- Improves fault indication integrity
- Minimizes unnecessary excavations
- Identification of pickup/discharging from 3rd party CP Systems
- Low power for full day survey (2 x D Cells) |

Non-contact displacement sensors using eddy current technology measure distances, displacements, or positions of any electrically-conductive target. These objects may have both ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic properties. Due to the high insensitivity to oil, dirt, dust, moisture, interference fields, etc. the eddy current principle is ideally suited to applications in harsh industrial environments.
Eddy current sensors designed for industrial use in factory automation, for machine monitoring, for inspection and for measuring and testing.
