When it comes to temperature measurement technique and provided that a combination of simplest control and high measurement accuracy is required, then infrared-thermometers will always be the first choice.
This choice becomes a must, if one of the following requirements are given:
- Deterioration-free measurement of moving components
- Measurement of dangerous matter (e.g. electrically life parts, chemically aggressive materials etc.)
Measurement in inaccessible locations
Feedback-free measurement of small low-mass components
without infrared-thermometers is almost unthinkable.
In this case, nothing is easier as operation according to the motto:
targeting – measuring – reading the measurement value.
In any area of non contact temperature measurement, SIKA infrared-thermometers are reliable partners due to the following features: fully developed laser sight technology, very good optical characteristics, and modern technology with adjustable emissivity, data memory, and numerous additional functions.

SKF Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer TMTL 2400K
The SKF Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer TMTL 2400K can be used as both a contact and non-contact thermometer. The object’s temperature can be measured using the infrared detector or a probe.
Lightweight and compact, the TMTL 2400K can safely measure the temperature of hot, hazardous or hard-to-reach objects without contaminating or damaging the object’s surface. The optics of the TMTL 2400K sense emitted, reflected and transmitted energy, which is collected and focused onto a detector. The TMTL 2400K’s electronics translate the collected information into a temperature reading, which is displayed in °C or °F. The built-in dual-laser feature and spot ratio of 50:1 helps enable exact pinpointing of the temperatue measurement area.
The TMTL 2400K enables contact temperature measurement and allows the emissivity to be user selected. This allows the contact temperature measurement to be easily compared with the infrared measurement in order to find and adjust the thermometer emissivity for accurate infrared measurement of the same measured object.
-Can be used as infrared thermometer and/or contact thermometer with supplied K type temperature probe
-Non-contact measurement makes it possible to safely measure the temperature of hot, hazardous or hard-to-reach applications
-Wide measurement range using infrared sensor from -60 to 1000 şC (-76 to 1832 şF), with probe -64 to 1400 şC (-83 to 1999 şF)
-Distance/spot ratio of 50:1
-User selectable variable emissivity between 0,1 and 1,0
-White LED Flashlight to help visualize the application
-Large backlit display

Description
The TM8-IR temperature measuring instrument is a non-contact infrared
thermometer with laser aim and large, backlit LCD display. Infrared
thermometers are particularly suitable for measuring surface temperatures.
The special benefit is the short response time (less than a second)
without having to come in contact with the measured object. Therefore,
the instrument is particularly suitable for moving (e.g. paper reels, tyres) or
live (e.g. electrical assemblies, transformers) parts. Also for measurements
in the food industry, because the medium is not polluted by a sensor.
An additional NiCr-Ni thermocouple can be connected to the instrument. |
