The mobile racking storage system consists of racking mounted on mobile bases that run on rails integrated into the floor. Mobile bases, through motorization device, allow stored material to be accessed by opening just the relevant aisle. COMPATTA mobile racking system offers a wide versatility of use: it can be equipped with any racking of different types and load capacities for the storage of materials with any type of weight and sizes (pallets, bins, coils, moulds, long profiles, metal sheets). COMPATTA provides, on the same floor space, over 80% extra storage compared to a traditional, fixed racking system. Mobile racking storage systems are ideal for the storage in cold rooms, thanks to their high capability of space optimization; they replace any solution for the storage of frozen items (and not) and ensure a decrease of cold room space while conserving the same storage capacity; it is also possible to double the storage capacity in the same floor space. A higher concentration of goods and its consequent empty space reduction minimize energy consumption. As base units can be separated into sections, COMPATTA mobile bases can be installed in premises with a complex layout and/or with pillars by getting the maximum optimization of available space. Electronics ensures control and safety in any condition: radiocontrols for opening aisles remotely, movement software with barcode readers and radio-wave remote terminals are low cost options that ensure the maximum system productivity. For over 30 years, we have been assembling over 1000 COMPATTA systems for each kind of industry by reaching a mobile base lenght of up to 70 m and a whole capacity of 100 t/per mobile base
