About the FBC 250 X•ONEThe FBC 250 X•ONE is a fluid-bed processor and granulator designed for industrial pharmaceutical development and production. It supports top-spray granulation, Wurster (bottom-spray) coating, rotor-based drug layering and tangential spray processes for batches up to approximately 250 L, with a contained, non-vented design that emphasises operator and environmental safety.
Applications- Wet-mass drying
- Top-spray granulation
- Wurster (bottom-spray) coating
- Tangential-spray processes
- Hot-melt granulation
- Rotor granulation / rotor-based drug layering
Features & Benefits (summary)- 12-bar pressure shock-resistant system with MOST™ (Maximum Operational Safety Technology) concept — prevents mechanical deformation during pressure-shock events and enables rapid production restart.
- X•ONE inflatable seals — enable safe operation at low pressures (down to ~4.5 bar).
- QASV (Quick Action Stop Valves) — containment of explosion events within ~20 milliseconds of detection.
- Customised charging, discharging and wash-in-place (WIP) systems — available for standalone units or integration in granulation trains to meet formulation and process layouts.
- ACG process control system — compliant with ATEX (Directive 2014/34/EU), GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11 for secure, auditable monitoring and control.
- Patented Düsen‑Schlick nozzles developed for ACG — optimised spray performance and simplified cleaning.
