Circular sight glass fitting Type 318 is a flat, lightweight sight glass welded onto or into a container wall to allow observation or illumination of the container interior. It is positioned as a cost-effective, chemically resistant solution between pressureless fittings and more robust pressurized variants.

Features

• Flat, lightweight design derived from DIN 28120 principles but optimized for lower operating pressures.
• Housing and flanges in stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti) for improved corrosion resistance.
• Glass clamped between two stainless steel flanges with proven high-quality flat seals.
• Standard sight glass material: borosilicate glass to DIN 7080 (or per customer specification).
• Optional FEP or Halar® coatings available to increase chemical resistance of the glass assembly.
• Suitable for observation or illumination of container interiors; compatible with liquid and gaseous media.
