Circular sight glass fitting Type 317 is a lightweight, flat sight opening for pressureless containers, intended to be welded on or into a container wall (similar to DIN 28120). The sight glass uses chemically highly resistant borosilicate glass clamped between two stainless steel flanges with a variety of proven seal materials.

Design and materials

• Body / flanges: stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti)
• Glass: borosilicate glass according to DIN 7080 (or per customer requirements)
• Seals: wide range of materials including fibre seals, PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, novaphit® MST-XP, KlingerSil® C4400 and other branded seals

• PN 0 (pressureless); recommended maximum working pressure: 0.49 barg
