The Longitudinal sight glass fitting Type 338 is a welded-in/-on level indicator for tanks and containers, designed for visual inspection and reliable monitoring of liquid and gaseous media. It provides a 50 mm visible width and is rated for working pressures up to 16 barg.

Design & materials

The fitting uses a borosilicate sight glass plate (similar to DIN 7081) clamped between seals and bolted to ensure permanent tightness and pressure resistance. Standard construction material is stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti); other materials available on request. Protective coatings and mica protective disks are available for enhanced chemical or temperature resistance.
