This machine is designed to test the seal strength of plastic and metalloplastic packaging such as heat-sealed tubes, doypacks, pouches, and other flexible packages, either directly on the production line or in the laboratory.
Why test your seals?
During heat sealing, many factors can lead to defects, including:
incorrect electrode temperature,
variations in material thickness,
the presence of impurities in the sealing area,
unstable machine settings.
Such defects can cause leaks, micro-leaks, product loss or non-conformities.
Implementing a simple, fast and reliable test as close as possible to the production line is therefore essential to ensure packaging quality.
The ATS test is widely used by packaging manufacturers thanks to its reliability, ease of use, and low operating cost.
Description
ATS Tube Seal Tester – A destructive test to guarantee quality
The ATS seal tester is designed to evaluate the quality and strength of tube seals using a destructive pressure-based test. The principle consists of gradually increasing the internal pressure of the tube by applying external compression, directly stressing the seal.
This test makes it possible to detect:
leaks,
micro-leaks,
weak or defective seals,
ensuring that packaging meets quality standards and withstands real-world constraints (transport, storage, handling).
Adaptability and configurable setup
The ATS tester adapts to various materials and tube geometries, whether plastic or metalloplastic.
It offers outstanding flexibility through:
customizable press plate shapes,
adjustable pressure,
configurable support points depending on the structure and diameter of the tube.
This adaptability ensures a test that truly reflects the real behaviour of the packaging, regardless of its design.
