OverviewThis hot-melt laminating machine joins two or more flexible packaging layers to enhance appearance and barrier and technical properties of the finished product. Designed for integration with extrusion-based converting lines, it handles plastic films, fabrics, papers and aluminium foils. Lamination is achieved by applying adhesive to the less absorbent substrate and pressing the layers together to form duplex or multi-layer laminates.
Applications- Food packaging
- Non-food packaging
- Technical laminates for solar energy modules and insulation panels
Key specifications- Process: Hot-melt laminating
- Function: Join two or more flexible packaging layers to improve appearance and barrier/technical properties
- Typical substrates: Plastic films, fabrics, papers, aluminium foils
- Adhesion method: Adhesive applied to the less absorbent substrate, then layers pressed together
- Applications: Food packaging, non-food packaging, technical laminates
- Product category: Converting machines for extrusion lines
Operation and integrationThe machine is compatible with continuous extrusion lines and can be configured with unwinding/rewinding stations, temperature-controlled adhesive applicators and web handling systems to ensure precise register and uniform bond. Options commonly include tension control, edge guiding and inline quality inspection for defect detection.
