The Alfa Laval Aalborg XW is an exhaust gas economizer with gilled water tubes and forced circulation. Intended for waste heat recovery after diesel engines, it has a proven design that withstands vibrations and exhaust gas pulsation. It can be used in combination with a fired auxiliary boiler or a separate steam drum, which acts as a steam/water separator. The unit has a steam capacity of 0.2–17.0 tonnes and is available in two design pressures: 18 or 24 bar(g). The Aalborg XW is specially designed for waste heat recovery after diesel engines.
