Description

The triaxial gyroscopes of type ASC RAIL-2731 are based on proven MEMS vibrating ring sensor elements. The design of the micro-mechanical silicon structures makes the gyroscopes extremely insensitive to external impacts and vibrations. They are therefore ideal suited for use in harsh environmental conditions. Due to their high performance, the gyroscopes fulfill the requirements of industrial grade applications with respect to the maximum achievable precision. Housing: The sensors feature a robust, non-flammable and reliable stainless-steel housing (V2A material number 1.4301) with protection class IP68 and an integrated cable with configurable length and connectors. Through the rigorous testing and documentation according to EN 50155 it is significantly easier for railway operators to configure and implement individual inertial sensor solutions on their rolling stock. They can rely on a proven set of stable precision sensors ready for installation, which meet the required norms and significantly reduce individual documentation requirements on the part of the operator. Applications: The application-specific housing of the ASC RAIL-series allows realiable operation even in harshest environmental conditions. They are ideally suited for bogie stability tests and monitoring applications of vehicles and their components in the rail transport sector.
