Overview
battenfeld-cincinnati presents the Green Pipe concept: a downstream cooling and drying approach designed to reduce energy, water and material use on extrusion lines. The concept combines targeted internal air cooling, an energy-efficient dryer and line energy monitoring to optimize each downstream component for pipe production.

Green Pipe components
helix II VSI-T pipe die with Efficient Air Cooling EAC
  • Internal counterflow ambient-air cooling: ambient air flows through the pipe against extrusion direction to provide uniform internal cooling
  • Depending on application, cooling-section length can be reduced by 30%–50%
  • Possible integration into existing extrusion lines after consultation
  • Most existing battenfeld-cincinnati pipe heads are retrofit-capable


EAC drying system (Labotek)
  • Co-developed with battenfeld-cincinnati for compatibility with helix II VSI-T dies
