OverviewOXYBERG® PSA oxygen generators produce oxygen on site from compressed air at selectable purities from 90 % to 95 % and outputs from 1.5 to 197.4 Nm³/h across 18 sizes. Units are skid-mounted to connect to local compressed-air supplies, replacing cylinder deliveries and liquid-oxygen tanks while giving local control of purity, flow and outlet pressure. Engineered and manufactured in Germany. Standard wear parts are off-the-shelf. Warranty: three years standard, up to five years with a service contract.

Oxygen purity range: 90 % – 95 %
Technology summaryA Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen generator separates oxygen from compressed air without chemical reaction or cryogenic cooling. Compressed air at 5–10 bar passes through a zeolite molecular sieve which adsorbs nitrogen, CO2 and residual moisture while oxygen (with the small argon fraction) passes to a buffer tank. Pressure drop regenerates the sieve; the continuous input is compressed air and the continuous output is oxygen at the selected purity (90–95 %). Argon presence sets a natural ceiling near 95 % for PSA oxygen.
The five steps of the PSA cycle- Adsorption (Tower A): Treated compressed air enters an adsorber at 5–10 bar; zeolite retains nitrogen, CO2 and moisture while oxygen passes out to the buffer tank.
- Pressure equalization (A → B): Part of Tower A's oxygen stream pre-pressurises Tower B to save compressed air and speed changeover.
- Desorption (Tower B): Tower B is vented to atmospheric pressure and the adsorbed nitrogen is released to atmosphere.
- Purge (Tower B): Small oxygen back-flow sweeps residual nitrogen from Tower B preparing it for the next adsorption cycle.
- Switch: Tower B takes over production while Tower A regenerates; towers alternate typically every 60–120 seconds for continuous oxygen delivery.
Features and product benefits- Five adjustable purity grades: 90 %, 92 %, 93 %, 94 % or 95 % (set in controller). Higher purity reduces throughput for a given model.
- Scalable family across 18 sizes covering 1.5 to 197.4 Nm³/h O₂ output.
- Standard, off-the-shelf wear parts (filters, valves, zeolite) to avoid proprietary spare-part lock-in.
- Cycle tuned to protect sieve life; clean, dry, oil-free compressed air required for long sieve life.
- Engineering, system integration and worldwide service from the manufacturer; typical ROI vs liquid oxygen in 2–3 years (business-case context).
