Description

Overview
On-site nitrogen generation for tank blanketing, inerting and process safety in chemical plants. Systems are manufactured in Germany and engineered for continuous, controlled nitrogen supply to protect product quality and reduce oxygen-related risks.

Key offering
PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) nitrogen generators specifically configured for chemical-industry needs. Units provide adjustable purity and flow rates suitable for blanketing, purging, inerting, analytical carrier gas and other process applications.

Benefits
  • Configurable N₂ purity: typical range 99.5–99.99 % (configurable up to 99.999 % at point of use).
  • Continuous 24/7 supply for critical processes and storage tanks.
  • Predictable OPEX based on kWh consumption versus cylinder logistics.
  • Low maintenance design using premium carbon molecular sieves to extend service intervals.
  • Compact, plug-and-play systems for straightforward integration and fast commissioning.

Applications
  • Tank blanketing and inerting of reactors and storage tanks to prevent oxidation and fire hazards.
  • Purge and inerting during chemical synthesis, solvent distillation and solvent recovery.
  • Catalyst handling: protection during loading, unloading and regeneration.
  • Carrier gas for analytical instruments: gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (MS).
  • Chemical packaging and storage: purging/blanketing to maintain product integrity.
  • Polymer production: inerting during polymerization and storage to prevent degradation.

Technology
PSA separates nitrogen from compressed air by adsorbing oxygen and other impurities on carbon molecular sieves. The process allows flexible control of purity and flow to match specific process requirements while enabling energy-efficient, on-site production.

Engineering & Service
Systems are engineered for industrial environments with options for ATEX-compliant configurations, site sizing based on consumption profiles and operating data, and commissioning support. Local service and maintenance programs are available to maintain uptime and performance.

Technical specifications
  • N₂ purity: typical 99.5–99.99 % (configurable; up to 99.999 % at point of use depending on configuration).
  • Technology: PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption).
  • Adsorbent: carbon molecular sieves.
  • Operation: designed for continuous 24/7 supply.
  • Safety: ATEX/explosion-safety options available.
  • Maintenance: low-maintenance design; extended service intervals.
  • Integration: compact plug-and-play footprint; customised sizing available.
  • OPEX: predictable kWh-based operating costs; reduction vs. cylinder supply.
