Description

Product overview
Hydraulically operated level control and pressure-sustaining valve that controls reservoir filling and level. During filling the valve sustains a minimum upstream pressure regardless of fluctuating flow or reservoir level. Reservoir filling is actuated by a hydraulically controlled non-modulating bi-level vertical float that opens at a preset low level and shuts off drip-tight at a preset high level.

Features & Benefits
  • Excellent anti-cavitation properties
  • Wide flow range
  • High stability and accuracy
  • Drip-tight sealing
  • Flexible design enabling easy addition of features
  • Obstacle-free flow path
  • Optional V-Port throttling plug for very stable low-flow control
  • High-quality materials suitable for potable water
  • In-line serviceable for easy maintenance
  • Certified to functional and drinking water standards (EN-1074, NSF/ANSI 61-372, WRAS, AS 5081)

Double chamber design
  • Moderated valve reaction
  • Protected diaphragm
  • Optional operation at very low pressure
  • Moderated closing curve

Typical applications
  • Level control for water reservoirs
  • Bi-level control for water renewal/refreshment
  • Water delivery systems — prioritizing upstream over downstream demand
  • Acts as a safety valve in tank filling systems
  • Potable water, fire protection and grey water systems

How it operates
The valve is hydraulically actuated and coordinated with a bi-level vertical float pilot. On detecting a preset low reservoir level the float-controlled pilot opens to allow filling; when the preset high level is reached the float pilot shuts the valve drip-tight. While filling, the valve sustains a minimum upstream pressure independent of flow fluctuations or reservoir level changes.
