Product descriptionSeries D valve islands provide a modular solution when pneumatic and electrical functions must be integrated into confined spaces. Multiple electrical connection options enable islands with high valve counts and segmented pressure zones. The Fieldbus versions manage digital and analog I/Os and allow the Fieldbus cover to be fitted after mechanical installation, enabling code configuration without the communication cover installed.
The pneumatic section supports free electric modules for reconfiguration of I/O without disassembling the island from the machine. Small dimensions combined with high flow rates, individual pneumatic and electrical subbases, a simple subbase connection system and continuous diagnostic functions (including coil monitoring) make the Series D suitable for demanding industrial applications. Electronics in the subbase and in the Sub-D or multi-serial connection modules continuously monitor coil efficiency. Deviations from nominal conditions (increased power consumption, response-time variation, temperature rise) are signalled by distinct LED blinking patterns on the valve and by an electrical alert to the PLC via the Sub-D cable or directly through the communication protocol when using multi-serial modules.
