These Clippard oxygen clean series electronic valves have been ultrasonically cleaned, inspected, assembled and tested in a controlled environment using a state-of-the-art positive pressure filtration system. The testing and inspection is done using ultraviolet light and compressed Nitrogen.The EV-, ET- and EC-series electronic valves with the "O-" option can be used for applications that are highly sensitive to contamination, in oxygen-enriched environments. No adhesive, lubricants or organic sealants are used during the manufacturing process, and inorganic and organic contaminants (such as hydrocarbon oils and particulate matter) are removed. FKM (fluorocarbon seals) are featured. Heat-sealed polyethylene bags are used to double-bag the products. Oxygen-compatible PFPE (perfluoropolyether) grease is used to lubricate the component parts only as needed for assembly.
