Description

Product description
The NMB / Type NMR family comprises sealless chemical pumps built to ISO 2858 casing dimensions and equipped with a magnetic coupling. The split containment shell hermetically isolates the pumped fluid; heat from eddy-current losses is removed by an internal circulation circuit. Product-side bearings use SiC sleeve bearings for dry, low-wear operation, while the drive side is supported by oil-lubricated rolling bearings. Axial thrust is balanced hydraulically across the operating range. A direct flange to a standard motor eliminates the need for coupling alignment. A wide range of variants and monitoring options allows configuration for specific process requirements.

Function and design
The pump is single-stage with a volute casing and permanent-magnet coupling. The containment shell (split pot) provides hermetic separation; internal recirculation conveys eddy-current heat away from the containment. Wear rings on suction and discharge sides are standard where applicable. Axial thrust compensation is achieved via relief bores, balance holes, back vanes or equivalent hydraulic measures depending on configuration.

Special designs (available)
  • Casing with heating jacket
  • Volute casing with centreline support
  • Open impeller version with wear plate
  • Inducer for improved suction performance

Applications
  • Oil & Gas
  • Chemical industry
  • Petrochemical plants
  • Offshore
  • Shipbuilding / Marine
  • Refuelling & Aviation
  • Tank farms / Storage terminals
  • Renewable energy / Environmental technology

Notes
Magnetic coupling provides sealless containment. Product-side SiC sleeve bearings allow dry contact with the pumped fluid; drive-side bearings are oil-lubricated rolling bearings. Internal circulation removes heat from eddy-current losses. Direct motor flange facilitates compact layout.
