DescriptionThe NMWR is a volute casing pump (dimensions according to ISO 2858) with a permanent magnet coupling, designed for thermal oil applications. The split pot hermetically seals the pumped medium to the outside. The bearing housing with cast ribs serves as a cooling element, keeping temperatures in the split-pot area significantly below the inlet temperature in the volute casing. There is no internal circulation; plain bearings and a throttle section prevent exchange of contaminated product with the clean medium in the magnet chamber.
Important operational notes- For higher eddy-current losses an additional cooling circuit is required.
- Cooling water is not required.
- The pump is not self-venting and must be vented via a venting device when the suction valve is open.
Design / bearings / sealing- Magnetic coupling (permanent magnet coupling) as sealing; split pot hermetically seals the medium.
- Pump shaft: product-side SiC plain bearings.
- Drive shaft: oil-lubricated rolling bearings.
- Wear rings are standard on suction and discharge sides.
- Foot support and axially centered suspension are available options.
