Description

Dip flow cup Model 321 — DIN-compliant instrument for rapid viscosity determination

Measuring principle
The viscosity is expressed as the efflux time of a defined volume (100 ml) from the cup through an orifice of specified diameter; the efflux time is measured with a stopwatch.

Test procedure
The cup is fully immersed and completely filled with the test substance. It is then lifted out quickly and the stopwatch started simultaneously. Record the time in seconds required to completely empty the cup; the end-point is reached when the orifice becomes visible from above. The cup must remain vertical during the test.
