Notable technologies: a CNC-controlled corner rounding unit, a top-mounted glue pot with integrated drain and cleaning, an upper pressure belt with belt-feed drive for gentle handling of sensitive surfaces, and a centric edge jointing unit with powerful motors and automatic centric adjustment.

Design & handling
The long, massive machine frame provides stability and long stabilization zones between units for improved repeatability and longer tool life. The top pressure belt with belt-feed drive (e-motion) achieves uniform pressure distribution, reducing wear and cleaning compared to pressure rollers.

Glue system
The top-mounted controlled glue pot is Teflon-coated and holds 0.6 kg, compatible with EVA, PO and PUR hotmelt adhesives. Glue is applied via a finely adjustable textured application roller. Features include synchronized/counter-rotation roller cleaning, quick-change plug system, integrated rinsing/cleaning, silicone drip tray and cartridge heater monitoring for consistent performance.

Edge jointing unit
The centric edge jointing unit is driven by two powerful motors (3.7 kW each, 12,000 rpm) with two diamond jointing cutters (D = 100 mm, H = 49 mm). The unit aligns centrically to the workpiece height to avoid one-sided wear. Routers support synchronized and counter-rotation; cutter height and depth are manually adjusted with digital readouts; linear guides ensure precision and durability.

Corner rounding unit
A redesigned CNC-controlled corner rounding unit with patented multi-radius router cutters (R = 2 mm) delivers precise, uniform radii and low maintenance for thin edges. It uses two independent motors (12,000 rpm) and four servo axes for motorized positioning and fine adjustment in 0.01 mm increments. It processes face and longitudinal edges (ranges depend on configuration) and supports pneumatic engagement and high-quality linear guides.

Control & automation
The 18" smartouch control with e-motion reduces manual settings, enables intuitive unit selection and complete machine monitoring. smartouch features include:

Feed, infeed & transport
Chain feed speeds depend on the package: classic/professional: 12 + 20 m/min; performance: 12–25 m/min. Rubberized support pads provide grip; quick-change pad system; automatic guide lubrication; round and flat shaft guides prevent tilting.

Material handling accessories
Options include an air cushion table for gentle handling of large/surface-sensitive workpieces (standard surface 1050 x 400 mm, expandable to 2000 x 400 mm), additional floor-mounted supports with swivel arm, mitre fence for narrow parts (120–700 mm), automatic edge feeder with motorized clamp (option), StorEdge magazine for coiled edge material and a wireless barcode scanner.

edgeControl & barcode
Optional edgeControl provides wireless edge and workpiece measurement via Bluetooth. Measured values (hundredths of a millimetre) transfer to smartouch; values are logged and selectable; smartouch can auto-calibrate units from measurements. A wireless barcode scanner supports quick program transfer and networked workflows.
