Overview
The new Format4 tempora F1000 sets new standards in comprehensive edge processing, combining durability, precision and efficiency. Its long, stable, large-dimensioned machine frame ensures exceptionally smooth running of all units, highest adjustment precision and extended service life even in multi-shift operation. The F1000 is available in equipment packages Classic, Professional and Performance to match operational requirements.

Key features

• Belt feed drive on the upper pressure bar for gentle handling of surface-sensitive materials and uniform pressure distribution across the workpiece length.
• Centric edge jointing unit with powerful motors and automatic centric adjustment to the workpiece height to avoid one-sided wear.
• Top-mounted, application-controlled glue pot with integrated drain and cleaning function for faster heat-up and easier maintenance. Teflon coated pot with cartridge heater monitoring.
• Completely redesigned corner rounding unit with CNC-controlled positioning axes and patented multi-radius router cutters for uniform edge radius, also on thin edges.
• Variants/packages: tempora F1000 Classic, Professional, Performance (different unit configurations and feed speed ranges).

Control & Automation

• 18" smartouch control system with e-motion (network-capable): unlimited memory for user-defined edge programs; maintenance plan and linear meter counter; intuitive representation of units and functions; selection and precise fine adjustment of motorized positioning-controlled units (adjustment accuracy 1/100 mm / 0.0003 in); glue temperature setting with automatic temperature reduction in standby.
• Automation platform: e-motion for motorized, precise adjustments and integrated process control (workpiece height adjustment, feed rulere, etc.).

Glue & Application

• Top-mounted glue pot: Teflon coating, capacity approx. 0.6 kg for EVA, PO and PUR hotmelt glues.
• Fine-adjustable textured glue roller operating in application-controlled manner; synchronized and counter-rotation function to clean the glue roller during processing; quick-change system with plug, integrated rinsing/cleaning and silicone drip tray.

Units & Performance

• Edge jointing unit: two powerful motors (3.7 kW each, 12,000 rpm), two diamond jointing cutters D=100 mm, H=49 mm; centric alignment to workpiece height; routers usable in synchronized or counter-rotation mode; cutter height/depth adjusted manually with digital meters; linear guides for precision and durability.
• Corner rounding unit: two independent motors (12,000 rpm), processing of face and longitudinal edges with edge thickness 0.4–3.0 mm and workpiece heights 10–60 mm; patented multi-radius router (R = 2 mm) and four servo axes for motor-driven positioning and fine adjustment in 0.01 mm increments; pneumatic engagement/disengagement and high-quality linear guides.
• Feed options: chain feed (classic/professional) 12 + 20 m/min (39.3 + 65.6 ft/min); performance variant 12–25 m/min (39.3–82 ft/min). Rubberized support pads with quick-change; automatic lubrication of guide tracks; round and flat shaft guides for straight feed.
• Upper pressure bar: torsion-resistant aluminium tension profile; power-adjustable workpiece height 8–60 mm (0.3–2.3 in) set via e-motion; overhead belt feed protects material by gentler transport and reduces abrasion/cleaning effort; workpiece distance control with signal light.
• Workpiece feed & infeed guide: feed rulere e-motion enabling continuous chip removal 0–3 mm; power position control shown on smartouch; chip removal can be automatically linked to edge thickness.

• Air cushion table for easy and gentle handling of large/surface-sensitive workpieces (standard supporting surface 1050 x 400 mm; expandable to 2000 x 400 mm) with powerful blower motor.
