OverviewIntegrated Laser Welding System (ILWS) is a modular, ready-to-deploy fiber laser remote welding solution that combines IPG laser sources, beam delivery with IPG high-power scanners, controller software and optional modules such as integrated vision and real-time weld measurement. ILWS is designed to simplify system configuration, programming and production deployment for automated non-contact welding applications.
Key Advantages- Optimized for high-speed laser welding in production environments
- Simplified part positioning to reduce fixture complexity
- Fast installation and configuration for integrators and self-integrating customers
Flexible Beam DeliveryIPG high-power scanners deflect the laser in X and Y axes to enable remote welding across a wide working area. This beam delivery supports varied seam geometries and multiple weld sites on a single part while minimizing mechanical motion and reducing robot cycle requirements.
High-Productivity WeldingILWS supports automated, non-contact welding processes for high-throughput applications such as EV battery assemblies and electric motor hairpins. Laser source selection is matched to the application to achieve required penetration and cycle time with minimal part fixturing.
Real-Time Weld MeasurementOptional in-process weld measurement captures each weld during joining to provide weld-level traceability and quality assurance. This reduces the need for destructive post-weld testing and enables process-drift alerts based on weld dimension data.
Automated Part Position CorrectionAn optional integrated vision system detects part misplacement and automatically compensates weld coordinates (correction up to ±12 mm), lowering requirements on part feeding and tooling precision.
Options & Accessories- Real-time direct weld measurement (in-process monitoring)
- Integrated vision system for automated part position correction
- Adjustable air‑knife assembly
Deployment & SupportILWS is provided as a highly configurable package for integrators and end customers. IPG offers process development and system programming to optimize each configuration for weld speed and repeatability. Systems can be delivered fully integrated and ready for workshop deployment.
