Product IntroductionThe Needle Tubing Stiffness Tester GX-01 is designed to measure stiffness and rigidity of stainless-steel needle tubing used in disposable injection needles, prefilled syringe needles and infusion sets. It is suitable for laboratory and production quality control in medical device manufacturing.
Product Features- Compatible with multiple wall specifications: regular, thin, extra-thin and ultra-thin.
- 7-inch color touchscreen with intuitive graphical user interface (GUI).
- Automatic data storage with non-volatile memory retained after power-off.
- Safety features including emergency stop and overload protection.
- Built-in micro-printer that automatically prints test reports on completion.
- Standard USB interface for data export and connectivity.
- Multi-level user access and permissions, compliant with GMP requirements.
- ISP online control and upgrade capability for remote modification of test functions.
Test PrincipleThe instrument applies a controlled bending force to the stainless-steel needle sample while a high‑precision force sensor measures applied force and corresponding deflection. Rigidity is calculated from force and deflection at the application point.
Test Standards- ISO 9626:2016 — Stainless steel needle tubing for the manufacture of medical devices
- GB 15811-2025 — Sterile hypodermic needles for single use
- GB/T 18457-2024 — Stainless steel needle tubing for the manufacture of medical devices
Test ApplicationsBasic Applications
Disposable sterile injection needles, prefilled syringe needles, infusion needles
Extended Applications
Blood sampling needles, dental needles, biopsy needles and other stainless-steel medical tubing requiring stiffness evaluation
