Product overview
The COMBISTOP S1 FLAT is a spring-applied holding brake in a flat design developed for applications with very limited installation space, such as AGVs and robotic systems. Its patented friction system delivers higher braking torque than conventional spring-applied brakes by converting kinetic energy into heat through friction between the friction disc, armature and flange. The current torque range is 3.4 Nm to 10.8 Nm. The plug & play concept and ready-to-install air gap enable rapid mounting and short commissioning times. The design avoids rare earths while providing performance comparable to permanent magnet brakes, improving material independence and supply-chain reliability.
