OverviewThe MIS electromagnetic (magnetic inductive) flow meter is designed for measuring and monitoring medium flow rates of electrically conductive liquids in pipelines. The sensor uses Faraday’s law: the conductive fluid moving through a magnetic field generates a voltage proportional to flow velocity, which is captured by two contact electrodes and converted to volumetric flow. Measurement is independent of liquid density, viscosity and temperature. Two configurable outputs support switch, analogue or frequency modes; a dosing function is available when output 1 is set as switch and output 2 is used as control input.

Universal electronicsUniversal electronics U-PACE available for configuration, display and parameterization of the flow meter.
Principle and application notesElectromagnetic measurement suitable for electrically conductive liquids; a minimum conductivity requirement applies. Measurement pick-up via two electrodes in contact with the medium; volumetric flow is derived from the induced voltage and the pipe cross-section. Not influenced by medium density, viscosity or temperature. Suitable for industrial process monitoring, dosing and control applications.
