Overview
The F8 vertical machining center is engineered for large-part machining, delivering the stiffness, rigidity and precision required for heavy cutting, roughing and finishing of large die, mold and medical components. Its open-access design simplifies setup and changeover to reduce WIP and overall lead times.

Control, spindle and options
Standard control is Makino Professional 6 (Windows CE) with a large color touch-screen GUI and operator-friendly, menu-driven functions. Standard spindle is 50 hp, 10,000 RPM (CAT50) with optional HSK-A100 or high-speed 20,000 RPM HSK-A63 for die/mold applications. Available options include advanced data management and SGI.5 servo control to shorten cycle times on complex die/mold features.
