Overview
The V77 vertical machining center is engineered to minimize thermal distortion and deliver micron-level precision for die, mold and precision-part manufacturing. Thermal-control elements include Makino's core-cooled under-race lubrication and twin-shield splash guards to stabilize spindle geometry and improve surface finish consistency.

Applications
Suitable for large and medium die/mold machining, hardened-steel cavities and cores, and precision components requiring tight geometric tolerances and superior surface quality. The V77 (40 Taper) performs both roughing and finishing operations efficiently and with reduced cycle time compared with general-purpose machines.

Spindle, Tooling & ATC
Equipped with a CAT40 taper spindle at 20,000 rpm, optionally configurable with HSK-A63 or HSK-F63 (30,000 rpm) interfaces. Standard ATC capacity is 30 tools with optional expansion to 40 or 80. Tool-to-tool change, maximum tool diameter and tool weight are specified in the technical block.

Control & Performance
Fitted with the Makino Professional 6 control providing a stable NC platform and an operator-oriented graphical interface (large color touch screen). Advanced data management and Makino's SGI.5 (Super Geometric Intelligence) servo control reduce cycle times for dies, complex cavities and cores (manufacturer claims up to 40% improvement versus many other controls).
