Overview
The EDGE2i is a sinker EDM machine designed for high-precision sinker EDM operations in industrial production environments. It integrates Makino generator and process technologies to deliver stable machining, reduced electrode wear and consistent surface metallurgy.

Design & Features
The machine features a compact footprint with the dielectric reservoir integrated into the base casting for improved thermal stability. Standard equipment includes a dielectric chiller, a stationary work table for enhanced positional accuracy and a 4-sided programmable rise-and-fall work tank to improve operator access and setup flexibility. The machine is configured for safe unattended operation with an integrated flame sensor and fire suppression. An ATC (Automatic Tool Change) unit is integrated under the X/Y axes to extend unattended cycles.

Control and Operation
EDGE2i uses Hyper-i Control with a 24" HD touchscreen and an advanced handbox with LED display and Emergency Stop. The control provides integrated support content, tutorial Project mode and operator-friendly navigation to simplify programming, setup and diagnostics for operators at varying skill levels.
