Overview
The EDNC15 is a sinker EDM designed to accommodate large, heavy workpieces while delivering outstanding accuracy through a robust stationary work table construction and enhanced thermal stability. The machine integrates the dielectric reservoir into the base casting to reduce footprint and to support heavy parts up to 10,000 kg. The EDNC15 offers ATC (automatic tool changer) options to increase unattended machining time and features a 4-sided programmable rise & fall work tank for easy access to the work zone and simplified robot automation integration.

Control and EDM technologies
The EDNC15 features Makino’s Hyper-i control system with an intuitive graphical hi-definition 24" class touch screen. Hyper-i enables advanced on-machine capabilities including embedded digital EDM assist manuals and the E‑Tech Doctor help function. The machine uses advanced machining technologies such as SuperSpark™ IV and HyperCut to achieve fast cycle times and high productivity.
