Introduction
The compact fully automatic grinding and polishing robot Qpol 250 BOT integrates the complete sample preparation workflow—grinding, polishing, dosing and ultrasonic cleaning—into a single unit. It includes a 16-disc changer, a 6-fold dosing unit and an optional insertible 45 L settling tank for System Lab integration. Intuitive operation is provided via a 10" industrial touchscreen and a central-force sample holder with quick manual fixation. All process parameters can be adjusted during automatic operation.

Cleaning station
The integrated cleaning station performs fully automatic multi-step cleaning using water, air and ethanol. Cleaning steps and dwell times are configurable. The ultrasonic module is available for intermediate and final cleaning and pneumatic drying prevents cross-contamination.

Settling tank
The insertible settling tank (optional) fits into the cabinet and provides:

• 2-chamber PVC tank, 45 L total
• Mobile design with insertion mechanism for System Lab cabinets

Disc changer
The automatic disc changer holds up to 16 grinding and polishing media (e.g. SiC papers or Galaxy discs). During cleaning the changer replaces media automatically and media fixation is handled by the Vacu‑Jet system.

Dosing unit
The dosing unit and bottle depot are arranged for easy access inside the cabinet. Optional level monitoring and magnetic stirring are available to support continuous processes.
