The Qpol PLUS 1 and PLUS 2 are automatic single-wheel or twin-wheel grinding and polishing machines for metallographic sample preparation. They operate in single-pressure or central-pressure modes and accept working wheels Ø 200 / 250 / 300 mm. The high-performance PLUS head supports large sample holders (central pressure) up to Ø 185 mm.

• Replaceable tub insert (plastic inlay) for removal of abrasion and residual suspension.

Sturdy, pull-out faucet
Facilitates thorough cleaning of the work area and grinding tray.

• Cleaning Boost function removes residual liquid from media (dries at 750 rpm in ~3 s).
• Water valve activates automatically at start and end of the preparation process.
• Robust faucet with flexible hose extension.

Option: Qdoser dosing systems
Optional dosing systems enhance process flexibility.

• Qdoser GO: Fully automatic, software-controlled dispensing system with 4 removable/refillable bottles for reproducible results (optional magnetic stirring).
• Qdoser PLUS: Suitable also for fine polishing; optional upgrade to 1 L bottle for fine polishing suspension.

Ergonomically shaped splash guard
Reduces splashing and can be used as a hand rest during longer procedures.

• Grip recesses permit replacement of grinding/polishing media even with the ring in place.

Intuitive and easy to use
7-inch industrial touchscreen with integrated QATM user software.

• Intuitive menu structure and simple configuration.
• Status bar and audible signal indicate progress and end of process.
• Built-in timer and direct display of torque/contact pressure for reproducible results.

PLUS grinding / polishing head — high throughput and large samples
The PLUS head provides contact pressure of 5–80 N in single-pressure mode and 20–350 N in central-pressure mode. Up to 6 samples Ø 50 mm can be prepared at variable speeds using sample holders Ø 160 mm; L-type holders allow central-pressure holders up to Ø 185 mm.
