Introduction
The Qetch 1000 is a fully automatic electrolytic polisher and etcher designed for laboratory use. The polishing/etching module is separated from the control unit to allow operation of the polishing module inside a laboratory fume cabinet. An integrated scan function displays the material's current-voltage response and helps determine polishing/etching parameters quickly without altering microstructure. Handling is simplified by interchangeable 1 L electrolytic tanks; different electrolytes can be stored capped in the individual tanks. A dedicated water-wash program cleans the unit.
