OverviewThe compact roof-mounted pantographs SLS 102 and SLS 103 are installed on the roof of e-buses and operate according to the "Bus-Up" principle: the vehicle stops under a charging station, the pantograph extends, connects to the charger and charges the batteries. These pantographs enable depot and in-service fast charging within seconds and are adaptable to various vehicle types and customer requirements through patented contact systems.
Key data- Charging time: from 30 seconds to overnight charging
- Charging power: 150 kW up to 1 MW
- Set-up principle: "Bus-Up"
- Charging concepts: opportunity charging, flash charging and depot charging
Benefits / DescriptionThe SLS 102 and SLS 103 deliver very fast contacting and high current transmission, allowing charging without delaying regular operations. The compact roof-mounted design suits e-buses and battery-powered industrial vehicles and supports both depot and on-route charging scenarios with high reliability and adaptability.
Contact SystemsDifferent contact modules can be selected depending on site conditions and existing infrastructure. Available contact systems:
The system complies with EN 50696.
Compensation of Parking TolerancesThe drive mechanisms compensate for vehicle movements and parking tolerances during charging:
- ± 500 mm in direction of travel
- ± 250 mm parallel to direction of travel
- 4° kneeling
Current TransmissionTo balance battery size, passenger load and range, the following power transfer modes are possible:
- Pulse charging: 1 MW for 30 s
- Opportunity charging: 500 A for 15 min
- Depot charging: 150 kW continuous
All charging modes can be managed with a single system.
