Product overviewThe SLS 104 roof-mounted pantograph from Schunk Transit Systems is designed for automated high-power charging of battery-electric buses in depot and on-route applications. It combines the proven concepts of previous SLS models and provides an extended working range, increased contact force and an intelligent Smart Drive for reliable, repeatable docking under operational conditions.
ApplicationsSuitable for opportunity charging at bus stops and for overnight charging in depots. The mechanically guided, vertically oriented contact head enables early and reliable engagement even at short distances to the vehicle charging fairing and with variable vehicle heights.
Advantages- 600 mm vertical working range — adapts to varying vehicle and charging heights
- Compact design with long reach — 2 000 mm maximum extension
- Mechanically guided contact head — maintains permanent vertical alignment
- Increased contact force — compensates vehicle movements for secure contact
- Smart Drive with sensor control — reduces contact noise and wear
- Prepared for continuous currents up to 1 000 A
- Maintenance-friendly design — easy access and extended service intervals
- Compatible with existing SLS 102 / SLS 103 charging points
- Standards compliant target: EN 50696 & IEC 63407 (in preparation)
