Overview
The AS-D-B-200 steel ball drop test machine is designed for impact resistance testing in accordance with IEC 60950-1. It uses a DC electromagnetic pick-and-release system: the selected steel ball is lifted by an electromagnet and released on command for a free-fall impact. Drop height is adjustable and indicated by an integrated height scale. Suitable for laboratory and production quality control of rigid materials and components.

Applications

• Assess impact resistance of materials and components at specified drop heights (IEC 60950-1).
• Applicable to ceramics, acrylics, glass, plastics and similar rigid materials.
• Used for enclosures, displays, panels and other hardware requiring impact verification.

Operation steps

• Place the test specimen inside the safety fence and position it using the infrared alignment spot; clamp the specimen securely.
• Rotate the height adjustment handle to the required drop height and lock it.
• Connect power (AC 220 V) and switch on the main power; verify the power indicator lamp.
• Press the start button, select the required steel ball and bring it into contact with the electromagnet so the ball is held.
• Press the test/release button to perform the drop impact.
• After testing, switch off the power and remove the specimen.
