Product overview The ATEX Pedestrian Stacker Truck is a pneumatic-hydraulic, pedestrian-operated forked stacker designed for safe handling of pallets, IBCs and similar loads in hazardous (ATEX/UKEX) environments. Hydraulic lift functions are powered by compressed air so no onboard electric lift functions or batteries are required.
Key features - ATEX / UKEX certified for Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 atmospheres
- Air powered (pneumatic-hydraulic) — operators plug in an airline to power the unit
- Stainless steel clad forks (spark-reducing)
- Adjustable fork positions along the carriage
- Ackermann-style controllable rear-wheel steering with park brakes
- Class 2A forks; long forks (1200mm) and 600mm load centre
- No batteries, low maintenance, long service life (20+ years)
ATEX compliance The pedestrian stacker is ATEX / UKEX certified and supplied with a Manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity. Units are designed with electrical continuity to provide a path to ground and are built to relevant directives and British/ISO standards for use in gas and dust zones.
Pneumatic power Operators connect a 1/2 inch airline. Mandatory safety features (emergency stops, blocking valves) are fitted and, if the airline is disconnected the forks remain locked in place to secure the load. Capacity on the standard ATEX model is rated at 1300kg (600mm load centre).
Stainless steel clad forks Forks are clad with stainless steel to reduce the risk of spark generation when contacting the ground or obstructions. Fork length is 1200mm; designed for robust, long-term use in hazardous areas.
Adjustable forks Fork positions can be adjusted along the carriage: raise to the required height then push or pull forks into position. Maximum fork carriage width is 800mm.
Steering & mobility Ackermann-style rear-wheel steering gives precise directional control when lifting pallets and IBCs. Rear wheels use precision bearings to reduce rolling resistance and park brakes secure the machine when stationary. Rear wheel diameter is 160mm.
Upgrades - Telescopic lift (dual-mast) — provides up to 2740mm lift height with reduced capacity (example: 1200kg for the telescopic variant)
- Integrated ATEX load-cell weighing system — weighing accuracy to approximately +/- 1.25kg; ATEX display with removable battery pack (battery must be charged in a safe area)
- Pneumatic powered drive upgrade — continuous airline required while driving (use overhead airline or management system as needed)
- Alternative leg (outrigger) dimensions — custom leg widths/heights to suit integration requirements
- Electric-hydraulic lift (non-ATEX option) — battery-powered hydraulic lift for safe-area applications (converts STP07 pneumatic to STE07 electric variant; not suitable for ATEX use)
Documentation & media Technical specification and operation manual are provided for the ATEX Pedestrian Stacker Truck. A product video and full technical specification drawings are available for review.
