Description

Overview The IRO Chrono X4 is the fourth-generation weft feeder featuring an integrated TED display for direct tension setting. Designed for precise tension control and modular integration, the Chrono X4 supports a wide range of yarns and production requirements.

TED (Integrated display) TED provides an on-board display to set and monitor the target yarn tension during fabric production. The display shows real-time values and supports alarm reporting (e.g., weft yarn break). All tension and operating adjustments are accessible via the yellow control knob located on the front of the feeder.

Control and compatibility The TED display is compatible with ATC (Active Tension Control) to maintain consistent tension throughout the weaving cycle. The unit improves accessibility for powered accessory connections and connects to a compact switch-mode power supply to maximise the energy efficiency of the permanent-magnet motor. The modular design allows flexible assembly options. Sensor designs and the threading-up system have been revised for improved reliability and ease of use.

Message to customers This weft feeder is delivered with ongoing market support and planned future updates to ensure long-term operability and serviceability for textile manufacturers.

Components
  • Spool body - specially designed, surface-treated spool body to handle a broad yarn range with low yarn take-off tension and reduced dust accumulation.
  • Pneumatic treading - "Easy access" push-button system enabling fast one-step treading through the entire feeder or half-treading from the input eyelet to the spool body.
  • Sensor system - Mechanical or optical sensor options (including an integrated yarn break sensor) for accurate yarn reserve control.
  • Easy balloon adjustment - Adjustable knob for precise brushring adjustment during operation.
  • Permanent magnet motor - Maintenance-free permanent magnet motor providing low energy consumption, reduced operating temperature and high torque across speeds.
  • S/Z Switch - Switch to set rotation direction or activate standby mode.
  • Separation setting - Stepless yarn separation adjustment without tools.
