Benefits- Up to 70% reduction in nitrogen losses when acidification is applied correctly
- Additional sulfur fertilization and mobilization of phosphate for improved nutrient availability
- Higher effective working width with dribble hose or trailing shoe, fewer lanes and reduced crop damage
- Reduced odours during and after spreading
OverviewSyreN is a liquid manure acidification system engineered for front mounting on tractors and for attachment to new or used slurry spreading units. It acidifies slurry during application to limit ammonia emissions, reduce nitrogen loss and improve nutrient use efficiency. The system integrates into standard machine communications and is designed for straightforward operation and maintenance.
How it worksSulfuric acid is dosed into the slurry in a dedicated mixing chamber located directly in front of the linkage. A continuous pH meter controls acid dosing to reach the operator-selected target pH (typically around pH 6). Acid addition causes foaming and volume expansion, which is why acidification is performed during spreading rather than inside the tank. All components in contact with acid, from the front tank to the mixing chamber, are acid-proof. SyreN is compatible with dribble hose and trailing shoe distributors, which maximizes working width and reduces the number of vehicle lanes.
Safety- Drip-free coupling for IBC tank replacement to avoid contact with sulfuric acid
- Integrated storage compartment with personal protective equipment (gloves, apron and face shield)
- Two-part rinsing water tank for on-site flushing after application
- System layout and procedures designed to prevent user contact with acid during assembly and operation
Additional informationThe acid tank is positioned on the tractor front hydraulics to optimize weight distribution and to allow easy IBC replacement. Controls offer intuitive operation and can be combined with existing communication elements. The chemical reaction during acidification reduces odours and supports compliance with fertilizer regulation requirements.
