Overview
The XTill® Strip Till System combines strip tillage with optional root-level liquid manure (slurry) application in a single pass. Designed for professional agriculture and contractors, it enables accurate nutrient placement while reducing field operations and costs.

How it works
Each XTill® row unit is mounted on a parallelogram to maintain a constant working depth. The fertilizer outlet depth is independently adjustable for precise nutrient placement. Star-shaped clearing discs separate residues and form clean furrows. Hydraulic stone overload protection lets each coulter yield to obstacles. Optionally equipped with the Vogelsang DosiMat DMX precision distributor for uniform application (distribution coefficient < 5 %).

Product variants / Use cases
The XTill® VarioCrop variant supports a very wide range of row crops and allows row spacing adjustment (example: compact units approx. 45–47 cm). It is used where strip tillage with simultaneous root-level liquid manure application is required to improve crop establishment and reduce mineral fertilizer needs.

Positive effects of the Strip Till method
Strip-till combines advantages of no-till and conventional tillage. Several operations (deep tillage, seedbed preparation, localized liquid manure placement) can be combined in one pass, saving time and costs. Undisturbed residue-covered zones reduce erosion and compaction, preserve pore structure for infiltration and limit evaporation. Tilled strips warm faster to improve germination. Precise subsurface manure placement reduces emissions and the need for additional mineral fertilizer.
