Overview:
INS-8424P is an unmanaged 4-port 10/100/1000 PoE+ downlink, and 2-port FX/GbE multi-rate SFP uplink industrial switch designed for plug & play surveillance and internet access points applications. This PoE+ switch reduces costs by eliminating the need for multiple power outlets to power each individual powered device (PD) at distances up to 100 meters. All PSE (power sourcing equipment) and LAN ports use auto-negotiation technology to discover compatible devices without extra installation requirements. The SFP ports offer long-distance, noise-free fiber transmissions. The device uses port-based QoS to prioritize traffic on one port, uses VLAN Passthru for continuous packet transfer, and uses industrial QoS, to prioritize Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and GOOSE packets. The device can be discovered by monitoring systems with the help of an LLDP Filter to visualize the switch in a network topology map.
Designed to work in industrial demanding environments, it's enclosed in an IP40 aluminum case to protect the device from tools and hazards and high thermal conductivity for applications at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 75°C (-40°F~167°F). To ensure the connected devices operate reliably, it uses a Redundant Power Supply system and a Relay Alarm to issue alerts if power fails. The device also has 4 pin mini-DIN that attaches firmly to the device avoiding it from disconnecting during strong vibrations.
