Short description
WEH® Overpressure valve VRA-1-S5 for medium-pressure applications up to 1,379 bar (20,000 psi). Supplied with pressure ring and pressure screw for 9/16" MP 60° Cone & Thread connection. Suitable for liquid and gaseous media (Fluid group 2).

Function
The WEH® overpressure valve relieves excess pressure from fluid systems when the preset setpoint is exceeded, protecting downstream components. A built-in spring keeps the valve closed until the set pressure is reached. When the set pressure is exceeded, the valve opens and diverts excess medium via a media outlet (B2). Sealing is achieved with an exchangeable soft sealing element made of PEEK. Valves are factory-set and tested; the set screw is locked and sealed to prevent unintended adjustment.

Ordering note
Please specify the required set pressure when ordering. The maximum operating pressure of the overall system should not exceed 90% of the set pressure.

Notes

• WEH® Medium Pressure overpressure valves VRA-1-S5 are not classified as safety valves or safety accessories under PED 2014/68/EU or the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.
• The actual set pressure can vary with temperature changes or after long intervals between actuations.
