How It WorksWhen the coil is energized an axial magnetic force pulls the rotor toward the stator. Inclined raceways or bearing geometry transform the axial displacement into a controlled angular travel up to the designed stop. On de-energization an internal return mechanism (typically a spring) restores the rotor. Rotation direction and final angle are set by the raceway slope and mechanical design.
