Description

Overview

  • The UHV-525 Transmission Cable Parameter Tester is a field instrument for precision measurement of power-frequency parameters on high-voltage transmission lines (overhead, underground cable, hybrid). It measures capacitance, impedance, impedance angle and resistance and is suitable for tests under mains or generator-supplied conditions after outages.

Key features

  • Integrated compact design: consolidates functions that traditionally required multiple devices into a single portable housing for easier transport and field deployment.
  • Simple power requirements: operates from AC 220 V mains, avoiding the need for on-site 380 V connections.
  • Patented anti-induction circuit (patent no. 201020687669.X) for operation under high induced voltages (up to 10 kV) and enhanced immunity to induced currents.
  • Frequency conversion and digital filtering: selectable output frequency (45 Hz / 55 Hz) with digital filtering to reduce industrial frequency interference.
  • High-speed digital signal processor: fast, accurate processing of measurement signals and computations.
  • Minimal external wiring and straightforward operation: measure positive/zero sequence impedance and capacitance with reduced wiring and improved on-site safety.
  • Large-capacity data storage and export: calendar-stamped storage for up to 200 test sets and USB export for PC viewing and report generation.
  • Operational safety: automatic grounding detection that blocks operation if grounding is insufficient.
  • Large full-touch LCD: menu-driven interface for guided, one-touch measurement operations.

Usage notes & delivery

  • Data export via USB for PC analysis and report generation; product gallery provides high-resolution images and multiple views.
  • For generator-supplied testing, use a generator ≥ 3 kW and verify supply stability before measurement.
  • Always perform grounding check before operation; the instrument will block operation if grounding is inadequate to protect personnel and equipment.
