Anyone who uses ultra-low pressure, vacuum and differential switches can tell you that they will inevitably wear down in low pressure environments, causing contact erosion, loose terminals, switch instability and leakage.
The result? Equipment failure, downtime, and productivity setbacks no busy manufacturer can afford. Fortunately, now there's an alternative-
New Solution to Ultra Low Pressure Switch Problems Helps Avoid Leakage, Set Point Instability and Contact Resistance- an innovation in switch design that combines special gold crossbar contacts with a revolutionary "all-in-one-weld" contact/terminal construction for switches that deliver reliability, long life in harsh, low pressure environments—the MAM005 line of ultra-low pressure, vacuum and differential switches.
Most important, not only do these rugged and dependable switches last longer, they're comparatively priced, no matter if you're just looking for pre-configured switches available for immediate shipping, standard switches tailored to your business needs, or custom-designed switches for special applications

- Typical output Span 110mV @ 5V
- Temperature range -40°C to +150°C
- Linearity 0.15% (typical)
- Die size 1.35 x 1.79mm²
- Low cost, high reliability & stability

The basic series of pressure sensors use a silicon micromachined (MEMS) pressure sensor in the most basic configuration. The package is a ceramic surface mount configuration to provide the smallest footprint possible. Best temperature compensation is realized when the sensor has a constant current excitation.
This series is intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air, dry gases and the like. Specifications are written for constant voltage of 3.0 volts. The output of the device is ratiometric to the supply voltage.

Honeywell Sensing and Control's piezoresistive silicon pressure sensors contain sensing elements that consist of four piezoresistors buried in the face of a thin, chemically-etched silicon diaphragm. A pressure change causes the diaphragm to flex, inducing a stress in the diaphragm and the buried resistors. The resistor values change in proportion to the stress applied and produce an electrical output. These sensors are small, low cost and reliable. They feature excellent repeatability, high accuracy and reliability under varying environmental conditions. In addition, they feature highly consistent operating characteristics from one sensor to the next, and interchangeability without recalibration.
Best Used For:
Medical and HVAC devices, data storage and gas chromatography equipment, process controls, industrial machinery, pumps and robotics.
