Level Control
Industry's requirements for level and pressure measurement are as varied as industry itself. Finding a system which can cope with that wide scope and do it accurately, safely and with absolute repeatability is one of the key tasks facing today's process manager. With hazardous products and harsh environments to handle, perhaps requiring intrinsically safe equipment, one of the main factors in choosing a level/pressure system must be its reliability and toughness.
Efficient Level Measurement Solutions
For industry to benefit from the installation of level measurement systems, the selected system must be reliable, repeatable and accurate. In addition, it should be installed quickly, with a minimum of costly down time and it should provide an interface with data acquisition and control equipment.
By employing equipment that satisfies these criteria companies can increase both their efficiency and productivity. However, with so many different techniques to choose from, selecting the best method for your application is difficult.
We at CT Holledge, with our range of pneumatic and electronic pressure sensors, will assist you through the minefield of system selection and supply you with equipment that not only meets your requirements but exceeds them.

The ifm pressure sensors are based on a ceramic measuring pressure cell which converts the measured quantity of pressure into a capacitive signal as a result of the deflection of a diaphragm. A microprocessor controls the evaluation of the electrical signal. For the efector 500 the system pressure is directly indicated on the unit by an LED display.

General description:
The DP3 series of pressure sensors offers a high-resolution, high-speed, and high-accuracy solution for all of your pressure sensing needs. A 2.5ms response time is achieved with excellent repeatability and temperature characteristics. A 10mm red LED display allows for good visibility in bright and dim ambient conditions. Simple key setup allows for quick initialization and threshold value settings. The display can be changed between six pressure units, allowing flexibility in many applications. The DP3 series incorporates 2 comparative outputs (NPN or PNP) as well as one analog output.
Several integrated output modes allow for enhanced usability:
- Hysteresis Mode
Offers free-range hystersis control for optimal hysteresis setting.
- Window Comparator Mode
This output mode provides a user determined pressure window in which the output is either ON or OFF. This is perfect for applications in which there are high and low pressure limits.
- Leak Test Mode
Utilizes both outputs to offer stable leak detection in applications such as bottle manufacturing.

Pressure sensors for general application, for gauge pressure, accuracy 0.25% and 0.5%
Pressure sensors for general application are top of the range pressure transducers.
Their accuracy, reliability, resistance to corrosion and mechanical load make them suitable for all pressure measuring tasks - in production, development or in the laboratory.
The measuring ranges, graded in accordance with EN, range from 25 mbar to the maximum pressure range of 4000 bar. The case and wetted parts comprise stainless steel and are thus resistant to chemically aggressive media. The pressure connection and measuring element are welded together, making the measuring system particularly resistant to mechanical shock or vibration.
For more difficult measuring tasks (e.g. hydrostatic column), two potentiometers enable the zero point and measuring range to be set.
The pressure sensors for general application meet the electronic magnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements to EN 61 326.

The Amplified line of pressure sensors is based upon a proprietary package technology to reduce errors. This model provides a ratiometric 4-volt output with superior output characteristics. The sensor housing has been designed specifically to reduce package induced parasitic stress and strain. In addition the sensor utilizes a silicon, micromachined, stress concentration enhanced structure to provide a very linear output to measured pressure.
These calibrated and temperature compensated sensors give an accurate and stable output over a wide temperature range. Each sensor is internally compensated using an ASIC compensation technique. This series is intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air, dry gases and the like.
The output of the device is ratiometric to the supply voltage over a supply voltage range of 4.5 to 5.5 volts.

Kavlico's P250/P251 series of pressure transducers incorporate a stainless steel isolation diaphragm and all welded construction to withstand harsh industrial environments. Pressure ranges from 6 to 400 Bar or 100 to 5,000 PSI can be measured using a 5V power supply. The transducer provides a ratiometric 0.5 - 4.5V output proportional to applied pressure. The P250 is specified with pressure ranges measured in Bar and the P251 pressure ranges are measured in PSI. The rugged construction of the P250 allows it to be used safely in environments with large over-pressure spikes. The stainless steel diaphragm is compatible with most industrial fluids and gasious media.
